Last Thursday 17th, we were received an assignment for Applied Thermodynamics 2 subject. This assignment are request us as a mechanical students design a closed-system air-standard gas power composed of four processes and having a minimum thermal efficiency of 25% and prepare an engineering report. The due date is a week after the starting date, which mean we must submit latest by 24th April 2008!
Our task are design a closed-system gas power cycle, some sort of the figure above that composed of four processes. The processes may be isothermal, isobaric, isentropic, polytrophic, or pressure as a linear function of volume. Besides that, the report must describe the design showing the system, P-v diagram, T-s diagram, and some sample calculation. However, the Otto, Diesel, Ericsson and Stirling cycles may not be used!
Now is Sunday and my brain doesn't come out with any idea yet. There is another 4 days to the due date. I need to brain storm out a new gas power cycle that having a minimum thermal efficiency of 25%. This will be a difficulty to me since my fundamental of thermodynamics is not strong. Ahhh... this will be a big problem to me. I not going to play in this few days until I find the solution out. That's all for now. I might need coffee to keep myself awake..! Never get shocked when you meet me become "a panda".
Due date of assignments,
21st April, Strength of Material lab report, Measurement and Instrumentation Assignment 7
24th April, Thermodynamics 2 Assignment
25th April, Strength of Material Assignment
28th April, Measurement & Instrumentation Assignment 6
After that, there will be 2 more weeks to my final exam. I just got 3 weeks to prepare for my final exam. I really scare because I am lagging behind many chapters. I not sure I can catch up or not!
